The Glucksman Chair in
Contemporary Writing in English
The Glucksman Chair in Contemporary Writing in English was established through the generosity of Loretta Brennan Glucksman and her late husband Lewis L Glucksman, reflecting their deep interest in contemporary Ireland and particularly in modern Irish literature.
The establishment of the Glucksman Chair has enabled the University of Limerick to develop its profile in the area of Contemporary Writing and has further strengthened its commitment to the arts.
I am the second permanent occupant of the Glucksman Chair, having been appointed to the position in 201o.
